The PG and Research Department of Biotechnology, Hindusthan College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore in association with Rotary Club of Coimbatore Central and Rotaract Club of Hindusthan College organized an Awareness Programme on “Cervical Cancer” in the College premises.
Dr. G. Rajalakshmi, Head of the Department delivered the Overview of the Programme and its Importance. Dr. Meera Krishna, Director, CORD, Siruvani and Dr. Radha Ramani, Co – Founder, Sankara Eye Hospital, Coimbatore were the Resource Persons. They delivered Lectures on “Cervical Cancer and its Prevention” and explained the importance of administration of HPV and Rubella vaccination to girl children before marriage as a preventive measure for cervical cancer.
