Coimbatore Civil Engineers Association (COCENA) organised a special meet on the occasion of Engineers Day on 18.9.2019 in Hotel Jenneys Residency.
During the event, the launch of CONFAIR 2020- construction materials fair also took place.
S.P.Saravanan, President, COCENA inaugurated the event. While addressing the gathering he conveyed that in connection with Engineers Day, approximately 12000 saplings were given to the public and members of the association provided awareness about Rain Water Harvesting to the public around their areas by issuing pamphlets.
He also conveyed that engineers of COCENA have planned to build quality houses; with the first phase commencing in Pachapalayam and Avinashi Road.
He also stated that CONFAIR 2020 will take place on June 2020 and also mentioned that new technologies in the field of construction will also be unveiled.
M. Boopalan, Vice President (Marketing), Chettinad Cement Corporation Pvt Ltd, Chennai was the Chief Guest of the event.
During the program, Er. K. K. Palanisamy, MD, Palanisamy and Associates was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award, and Er. R. Karthic, MD, Nithya Space Planners was awarded the Eminent Engineer Award.
