TREE PLANTATION CAMPAIGN AT KPR COLLEGE

The Youth Red Cross of KPR Institute of Engineering and technology organized a tree plantation campaign on 07.07.17.

The campaign was inaugurated by the Principal Dr.K.Bommanna Raja. Dean Dr.S.Ramkumar, Head of the Departments, faculty members and YRC Volunteers planted 150 mahogany trees.

In the campaign, the coordinator Dr.J.Suryakanth deliberated the importance of tree plantation to the volunteers. The continuous deforestation has led to global warming, imbalance in water cycle and loss of animal and plant habitat.

The impact of global warming has led to drastic variation in climatic conditions and increase in temperature year by year endangering animal and plant life on the planet.

By plantation of trees, the release of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere can be reduced and global warming can be controlled.
