Sri Ramakrishna Hospital held a Breastfeeding Week celebration on 1.8.2019 in the Hospital Auditorium. Swathy Rohit, CBO, SNR Sons Charitable Trust was the Chief Guest.
Dr. Issac Christian Moses, Medical Director, Dr.Abdul Kasim Jaleel Ahamed, Consultant Paediatrician, Dr. M. Banumathy, Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist; Dr. R. Lalitha, Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist, Dr. Suja Mariam, Consultant Neonatologist and Dr. Siddartha Buddhavarapu, Consultant Neonatologist ,Sri Ramakrishna Hospital took part in the program and spoke on the importance of Breast Feeding.
The doctors conveyed to the attendants that breastfeeding benefits both the child and mother. The value of nursing the child for the initial 6 months was stressed. During the event, Varam – A Pregnancy Wellness Program was launched by the Chief Guest. We learned that through Varam, classes will be conducted for women on how to effectively manage and take care of the Prenatal and Postnatal period at an affordable price.
