Rotary Club of Coimbatore Town distributes 1000+ Cloth Bags at Coimbatore Railway Station

July 3rd is International Plastic Bag Free Day and in connection with this, to promote awareness to stop using plastic bags, Rotary Club of Coimbatore Town distributed 1000 cloth bags to the visitors and passengers at Coimbatore Railways Station.

Addressing the media, Rtn R S Maruti, Rotary District 3201’s Public Image Chairman said “Eradicating plastic is very important. It hinders with the groundwater and never degrades. When Mr.Sathish, Station Director, Coimbatore Junction said that an awareness about plastic should be sent to public about using eco friendly products and non-usage of Plastic bags, Rtn Murugesan,President of Rotary Club of Coimbatore Town same forward to support the project.

Our initiatives against plastic and promoting a greener society will stand strong and we’ll be doing activities throughout the year collaborating with Railways.
Rtn Murugan, Rotary District Director inaugurated the project in the presence of Governors Group Representative Rtn Saravanan.
