SRCAS organizes Freshers’ Day 2019 for the 33rd Batch of students

Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts & Science,  Coimbatore organized the Freshers’ Day for its 33rd Batch Students of UG Programs (Computer, Humanities and Science) in the college auditorium. First year Students  of the college along with their parents attended the event.

Swathy Rohit, CBO, SNR Sons Charitable Trust, presided over the event while Dr.Kavidasan, Director, Roots Coimbatore who is a famed Motivational Speaker acted as the Chief Guest.

Dr.S.Deena, Vice Principal, SRCAS welcomed the gathering. She conveyed that the college has enriched curriculum, Technical Teaching and Learning process, International Exposure and Practical Life Skills to make everyone who enter the college unique.

Kavidasan, The Chief Guest in his address inspired the gathering with his positive words. He said the youth and everyone need Character, Courage, Competency, Commitment, Creativity and support of the creator.

“Grow in character, be courageous to do the right things, learn all languages and improve your communication skills, your commitment to achieve your dreams shouldn’t change and most of all take the blessings of your creators – parents, teachers and God Almighty”

He wanted the parents to be ever supportive in their children’s endeavours.

Dr.K.Karunakaran, Principal, SRCAS in his address congratulated the students and parents for choosing the best college in Coimbatore. He highlighted the laurels of the college, chief among them are being in the top 200 arts and science colleges among the 19,000 arts and science colleges released by MHRD, STAR status by DBT, Govt of India and being in the top 50 best Arts and Science Colleges in India Today and The Week’s rankings.

“Our curriculum that focuses on future skills will make you competent enough to shine among the 4.5 lac students who will emerge out with you when you graduate.  We have Industry Integrated Courses that are taught by Corporate Trainers who will teach them the curriculum. We have IBM, Google entering in Coimbatore to teach academics for the students of Computer stream. We have The Hindu STEP program to make our students be competent in English communication skills.

We have a vision in not just giving our students knowledge but also to make them gift their best to the society. A majority of our students and teachers are organ donors.

We have a focus to widen the students’ horizon when it comes to enhancing their knowledge curve. Through our Twinning Program, we send our students to foreign universities like Asia Pacific University, Malaysia to make them feel the world ahead so that they’ll not wish to stick in their shells but to spread their wings to every opportunity available in the far wide world.”

Swathy Rohit, CBO, SNR Trust addressed the gathering next.” To all the 1600 freshmen here, let me be the first to congratulate you on behalf of SNR Charitable Trust for making it here. I should appreciate your parents who have strived a lot to elevate you to this level.”

She said the students can make themselves best with the support of the the excellent faculty and the best of programs offered in SRCAS. “We can bring you many opportunities but you have to make use of them. Make your parents proud, make your country proud”

The introduction of Deans and HoDs to the parents and students ensued.  The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Dr. F. Hannah Revathy, Professor and Dean, SRCAS.
