Due to the heavy downpour that has been pouring on for a few days in the city, there has been some discomfort to the passengers and today, with the rain being aggressive especially in the Uppilipalayam , Avanashi side, the drainage path in the said region got filled with rain water and it burst out on to the roads.
Vehicles parked in the parking area near the shops in the vicinity all were spoiled by the leaking drainage water which also created a scene of uneasiness to the people who came to shelter themselves near the shops as the leaks nearly reached the doorsteps of the shops.
As per reports, there has been heavy rain in Vellore, Nilgris, Coimbatore and Kanya Kumari while there was no significant rain in Chennai.
Also, for the next 4 days the above said regions will witness good amount of rain, as per sources.
