PSG College of Arts & Science, Coimbatore has organized a five days In-service training programme for Science teachers from Govt.schools of Coimbatore district. The program began on 18th February and will be on till the 22nd of February. The five days event was inaugurated by the Chief Education Officer of Coimbatore District P.Ayyannan who motivated the participating teachers to update themselves to the changing technological innovations and to utilize the PSGCAS facilities & expertise from professors of various departments to take up simple hands-on training in science and technology aspects.
T.Kannaian, Secretary, PSG CAS felicitated the inauguration and insisted on activity based teaching to understand the basic concepts in science thoroughly. D.Brindha, Principal, PSG CAS congratulated the participants and requested them to utilize the five days training programme to unlearn and re-learn the concepts to cater to the intellectual requisites of gen Z students. The programme will also cover practical and theoretical learning in all basic and applied science subjects with special focus on activity based teaching learning to make students better understand the concepts.
