China takes revenge on Canada as it said

During Dec 1, 2018, under requests from the USA, Canadian authorities arrested Meng Wanzhou, the CFO of telecom giant- Huawei. She was accused of financial fraud by the US government which had issued an arrest warrant well in August, 2018. After her arrest, in a few days she got bail under stern conditions from the Canadian Government. She is at her Vancouver residence awaiting further extradition procedures from the US.

Meng is not just the CFO of Huawei but the heir of the company. She is the daughter of Ren Zhengfei, the Founder and President of Huawei Technologies. China and US relationship is not going good due to trade wars and this incident came in the middle of it.

While Canada had no personal bias towards China, the latter may have taken the issue otherwise. Recently, a Canadian drugs-smuggler named Robert Lloyd Schellenberg,  who was arrested in China during 2014 for smuggling more than 200 Kgs of methamphetamine, has now been sentenced to death. Canada which has given up death sentences since mid 1960s like the rest of the world has been shocked. China previously warned that Canada will pay a terrible price and now through this act of sentencing, the world has come to know what China meant.
