Pongal Festival was celebrated at Dr.R.V. Arts and Science College, Karamadai recently. V.Suguna, Principal welcomed the gathering. V.Ramakrishnan, Managing Trustee inaugurated the festival by lighting the Kuthuvizhakku. The day started with an invocation. Students prepared Pongal in clay pots with zeal and enthusiasm. All the boys and girls wore traditional dresses of dhotis and sarees. The traditional dances like Karagattam and Kummi were performed by the students. Traditional games such as Uriadi and Tug of War were also conducted.
