This parrot has been a bad bad boy!

Pets are really great companions. They make us laugh at times of distress; they understand our emotions and try to calm us. People treat pets like a part of their family and devote their time caring for them. But some pets are little rascals that give its owners a tough time. Rocco, an African Grey Parrot lives with his mistress Marion Wischnewski in Blewbury, Oxfordshire. She works at the National Animal Welfare Trust as a Sanctuary Worker. Rocco is excellent in mimicking his mistress’s voice.

He gives her tonnes of trouble through his voice. No, he does not scold any of her neighbors or anyone on the street. What he does is, he uses Amazon Alexa when Marion is not around and cleverly orders what he wants. He places orders for fruits, vegetables, ice-creams and lot more. When Marion checks her shopping list online, she would cancel them. Sometimes he orders unwanted stuff for fun.

Rocco doesn’t stop there. When Marion goes for work, he asks Alexa to chat with him and he asks her to play a song and sings it with the voice assistant. Like humans, Rocco has also become addicted to the voice-command operations. Though Marion sighs because of Rocco’s actions, she never feels sad. She is so fond of him and the bird is equally in adoration with her and his Alexa as well. Those of you, who have parrots at home, be careful.

While on the one hand this seems funny, on the other we have to acknowledge the vulnerabilities of super-smart tech gadgets through this.
