Chaitanya Krishnakumar, the Correspondent of Nehru International School, added another feather to her cap by securing a B.Ed in computer science during the 8th Graduation Ceremony of Kasturi College of Education and Kasturi Institute of Management. This notable achievement follows her previous success in obtaining a Ph.D. in Computer Science.
The ceremony, held on December 9, 2023, featured Nikita V Shaw, Managing Trustee, inaugurating the event. Kasthuri, Principal i/c of Kasturi College of Education, and Selvaraj, Principal of Kasturi Institute of Management, delivered the Welcome address and Academic report.
Vijayakumar A Shaw, Correspondent of Kasturi Group of Educational Institutions, delivered a presidential address, emphasizing the significance of continuous learning and applying knowledge for societal upliftment. Shaw shared nine life lessons, urging graduates to be micro-ambitious, exercise understanding, and contribute to society.
Prof. Ravi, Vice-Chancellor of Alagappa University, Karaikudi, addressed the graduates, highlighting the urgent need for moral education in India. Prof. Ravi stressed the role of teachers as agents of social change and emphasized the crucial components of teacher training.
The ceremony celebrated the graduation of 313 students in various disciplines, including 281 B.Ed. students and 32 Management students. Prof. Ravi presented degree certificates and delivered a special address. Outstanding achievers from academic years 2018-2019, 2019-2020, and 2020-2021 received medals and certificates, and subject-wise toppers were recognized.
Post-graduation, an Alumni meeting was organized by Umarani, Assistant Professor at Kasturi College of Education, to showcase academic activities to alumni members and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
The event concluded with students receiving their certificates after taking a pledge in front of the Principal. Krishna Kumar, CEO and Secretary of Nehru Group of Institutions, also participated in the ceremony.
