Kutti Roadies ’23: Cycling for a Cause

Kutti Roadies ’23 is a cycling event organized for children by Coimbatore United Round Table 186, a young men’s organization formed in 2008. The event took place on December 3rd at Codissia Grounds. Comprising businessmen and professionals, their goal is to conduct community service activities across India. The first edition took place in 2019, and the second edition in 2023 serves as a fundraiser for community service projects. The proceeds contribute to The Round Table India’s “Freedom through Education” initiative, focusing on providing infrastructure and support for the education of underprivileged children.

Round Table India has successfully built 8,665 classrooms in 3,616 schools nationwide, with a total cost exceeding 437 crores. These classrooms have benefited over 95.3 lakh underprivileged children. Notably, Round Table India has averaged building more than one classroom per day. The first edition of Kutti Roadies raised Rs 2,00,000, and the second edition aims for a target of Rs 10,00,000. Approximately 1,000 kids have registered for Kutti Roadies ’23.

The Chief Guest for the event was G. Chandeesh, DCP, North Coimbatore. Other dignitaries present included Tr. Karthik Manikandan, Chairman, Tr. Satish Krishna, Secretary, and Bluewin Jose, Treasurer of Coimbatore United Round Table 186.
