NIT Hosts IIC Regional Meet 2023

Nehru Institute of Technology, in collaboration with MoE Innovation Cell & All India Council for Technical Education, organized the “Institution’s Innovation Council REGIONAL MEET” at P K Das Auditorium, Thirumalayampalayam, Coimbatore.

The event served as a vital networking platform, attracting over 200-300 IIC institutions, 50-100 non-IIC institutions, and 20+ regional ecosystem enablers.

The one-day-long meeting focused on showcasing innovative achievements, fostering knowledge exchange, and sharing best practices among educational institutions. With participation from 75-100 innovators and startups, 30-50 ATL Schools, and engagement from 40-50+ experts, mentors, and policymakers, the event aimed to enhance collaboration and idea transfer. Notably, the presence of 5-10 State and Central Government Agencies underscored the significance of public–private partnerships in advancing innovation and education.

The event witnessed distinguished guests, including Dipan Sahu, Assistant Innovation Director, Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell & AICTE, as the Chief Guest, and K. Mohan, Co-Founder & CEO of IppoPay, as the Guest of Honour. Lt. Cdr. Akhil Sharma, Assistant Director – AICTE, Govt. of India, also graced the occasion. Adv. P. Krishnadas, Chairman & Managing Trustee of NGI, delivered the Presidential Address, emphasizing the institution’s commitment to innovation.

P. Krishnakumar, CEO & Secretary of NGI, delivered the Keynote Address, highlighting the importance of fostering innovation in higher education institutions. H. N. Nagaraja, Executive Director, Academic and Administration, NGI, delivered the Felicitation Address, acknowledging the collaborative efforts in driving academic innovation. M. Sivaraja, Principal of Nehru Institute of Technology, welcomed the participants, setting the tone for the day. M.S. Irfan Ahmed, Director – S&H, NIT & Head – CRII, NGI, provided insights into NIT – IIC, and Prof V. Shinduja, IIC Convenor – NIT, extended the Vote of Thanks.
