Players who were favoured in the first round of the ITF Bowring Institute ITF Women’s World Tennis Tour effortlessly advanced to the pre-quarterfinals at the Bowring Institute tennis courts. In a standout match, fourth-seeded Vaidehi Chaudhari defeated Anjali Rathi 6-3, 6-3, while sixth-seed Jenny Duerst from Switzerland secured a 6-3, 6-2 win against Indian qualifier Yashaswini Panwar.

Italy’s seventh-seeded Diletta Cherubini outplayed Anastasia Sukhotin 6-1, 6-2. National champion Shrivalli Rashmikaa Bhamidipaty triumphed over Humera Baharmus 6-1, 7-5. Rashmikaa later teamed up with Vaidehi Chaudhari to enter the doubles quarterfinals. Asian Games gold medallist Rutuja Bhosale was felicitated, and she, along with Zhibek Kulambayeva, dominated in the women’s doubles, winning 6-1, 6-0.
