Martin Group Contributed 7.7 Crores for City-Wide Surveillance

On 19th October, 2023, Martin Group of Companies, through the Rotary Foundation, has generously contributed 7.7 crores towards a transformative project in Coimbatore. This initiative, led by the Rotary Club of Coimbatore Aakruthi, involves the establishment of a digital fiber network equipped with artificial intelligence surveillance cameras spanning 248 kilometers across the city. The total project cost is 15 crores, with 7.7 crores funded by the Martin Group’s CSR through the Rotary Foundation, and the remainder sourced from the Tamilnadu Government’s Namaku Namey scheme.

The symbolic handover of a Demand Draft took place during a significant event, with Director Charles Martin and Managing Trustee Rtn AKS Leema Rose Martin representing the Martin Group along with Rotary officials including Project Chairman Rtn. Kavitha Gopalakrishnan, Vice DRFC Rtn. Senthil Rajagopal, District Director Rtn. Gokulraj, Asst. Governor Rtn. Sambath Kumar, Rotary Aakruthi President Rtn. Asha Rao, and Secretary Rtn. Kothai Balaji.

The DD was received by key figures including Corporation Commissioner Sivaguru Prabakaran, City Police Commissioner Balakrishnan, and Mayor Kalpana. Notably, this marked the first DD received by the New Corporation Commissioner, who assumed office earlier today.

This collaboration signifies a substantial leap towards bolstering Coimbatore’s surveillance infrastructure, contributing to the city’s safety and overall progress.
