Don’t be silent, tell the truth about this war! – Ukraine President

Not many in the 2022 Grammy Awards show expected a video from President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky urging everyone to tell the truth about the ongoing Russia-Ukraine War.

“Our children draw swooping rockets, not shooting stars…Over 400 children have been injured, 153 children died, and we will never see them drawing,” President Zelensky said.

He shared that this war is destroying Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Volnovakha, Mariupol and other cities.

He asked what is opposite to music; “the silence of ruined cities and killed people”, he expressed. He added that amidst this some Ukrainians who live in bunkers find hope when they wake up alive.

“Anyway, we defend our freedom. To live. To love. To sound. On our land, we are fighting Russia which brings horrible silence with its bombs…,”  “Fill the silence with your music. Fill it today, to tell our story. Support us in any way you can. Any, but not silence. And then peace will come,” he urged the US and the world that is watching this mega event that is star-studded and gains global attention.

“Our musicians wear body armor instead of tuxedos. They sing to the wounded. In hospitals. Even to those who can’t hear them. But the music will break through anyway,” Zelensky shared.

It has been more than 35 days since the war began and it continues. Its impact has been felt all-over the world, and even in Coimbatore. The Pump industry here has been witnessing raw materials’ costs touching new highs for unclear reasons, and now due to the Ukraine-Russia war, the cost of Iron, Steel, Copper and Aluminium have all shot up greatly, leaving various stakeholders of the industry in a puzzled state.
