Unvaccinated people are at 3.5 times higher risk – Public Health Department warns!

People who do not get the corona vaccine are 3.5 times more likely to be at risk. The Department of Public Health has appealed for people to be vaccinated without delay.

A total of 2,011 people died of corona infection in August, September and October 2021. Of these, 1,675, or 84%, died from non-vaccination. The survey was conducted technically and it calculates mortality from a specific disease.

According to the Department of Public Health, those who are confirmed to be infected with corona without the COVID-vaccine are 3.5 times more likely to be at risk. Thus the public should be aware of the risk and get vaccinated as soon as possible. Tamil Nadu has stocks of essential vaccines for everyone. It has therefore requested that the vaccine be paid in case of delay.

Now that the State will hold two mega vaccination camps every week on Thursdays and Sundays instead of one at the weekend, the unvaccinated members of the State have ample time to go for vaccination.

A recent day conveys that the coverage for the first dose has not reached 100% in Tamil Nadu (As it is now at 73 %) and the second dose has not crossed 50% (as the current penetration is at 35 %).
