TN Budget is beneficial for all sectors – CODISSIA

M.V. Ramesh Babu, President of Coimbatore District Small Industries Association (CODISSIA) conveyed that the association welcomes the ‘0’ TAX in the first budget announcement of this Government.

Through a press release, the president conveyed that CODISSIA welcomes the announcements such as expert Committee for the revival of MSMEs headed by Dr. Sundaradevan, Retired IAS Officer, VAT Samadhan Scheme for resolving all the issues relating to VAT payments, establishment of a separate committee of experts for claiming of GST compensation due to the state from the Centre, Defence Industrial Park in Coimbatore, SIPCOT in nine Districts, Massive Tree Planting Drive, Formation of Greater Coimbatore Development Authority, Development of infrastructure facilities like roads, highways etc., reduction of petrol price by Rs. 3 per litre from State Excise Duty.

The association also welcomed the announcement of New industrial parks in Ranipet, Theni, Tirunelveli, E-Vehicle Park at Manalur, Thiruvallur Dist., allocation of funds for irrigation, health and family welfare and higher education.

The President thanked the CM and Finance Minister for this progressive budget and appealed to the govt to allocate funds and speed up the land acquisition work for Coimbatore Airport expansion.
