The Rotary Coimbatore Down Town presented the Vocational Excellence and Service Awards for the year 2017 -18 recently in a function held at the Chamber Hall.
The Vocational Excellence award was presented to Dr Babu Rani, Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist and Infertility in recognition of her commendable service in the field of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Infertility.
The service awards were presented to four eminent persons for their services to their respective fields.
Nithya Ramachandran, Deputy Joint Secretary, Sankara Educational Institutions, In recognition of her services rendered in the field of higher education.
Manikanden, Managing Director, Shree Anandhas, In recognition of his services rendered in the field of restaurant management.
M Sherif, Ace Choreographer in recognition of his services rendered in the field of dance choreography and B2 RS Puram police station which was adjudged as the best police station in smart policing at the national level were awarded.
R Mamalingam, Director, Coimbatore International Airport and S Ramesh Kumar, Regional Chairman, Vocational Services, Rotary International District 3201, were the chief guests.
