Kumaraguru College of Technology (KCT) is all prepared to conduct its fifth National level Techno – Cultural Fest starting from Feb 8 – 10, 2018. However the workshops will begin from 5th February, 18.
According to a release, with the conglomeration of workshops, technical & cultural events, inspirational talks, pro-shows, the fest is aimed at stimulating the youth to elevate aspirations, fight challenges to achieve big thing, it says.
On briefing the media here (5.2.2018) today, Dr. J.Senthil, Principal, KCT said that the event is themed as “Circle” meaning encircle, elevate and endless. ‘The theme means that everyone in the society is equal, opportunities for everyone, elevate one another,’ he said.
‘This year, Yugam is set to have 175 events that will comprise of 65 technical events, 60 cultural & literary events and 35 workshops,’ he added.
The Principal also noted that the college is expecting around 155 institutions across the nation and for the first time Arts & Science Colleges will also participate, he said.
Yugam’18 will have famous celebrities on the technical & cultural events like Playback Singer Chinmayi Sripada, Aruvi Movie Director Arun Prabhu, Standup Comedian Alexandar Babu, Musical Band etc.
As a part of the fest, an event for the students with interactive session named Ytalks with speakers like Putchutney Rajmohan Arumugam, VFX Head of Bahubali Pete Draper, Magician & Ventriloquist R Indushree, United Nations Speaker Dr. Sruti Kapoor, Team Indus, Aerospace Research Team, Nazdeek Justice Program Associate Arpana Choudry and Psychologist & Magician Sushani Shah will share their experience with the students.
