While every morning is full of surprises, no doubt, residents of Bengaluru were in for a colorful show on Monday morning. At about 11 a.m., a rainbow like halo was seen across the skies of Bengaluru and it lasted for over one hour.
This is a natural and ordinary atmospheric phenomenon. The halo occurs when the Sun’s light interacts with ice crystals in the atmosphere, at a particular level.
Karnataka actress Samyukta Hornad shared some of the pics on social media like the rest of the netizens and the images of the phenomenon went viral.
