District Public Library – Kovaipudur branch is considered one of the best libraries in Coimbatore District. This library has a good number of senior citizens in their reader’s forum.
These elderly readers had struggles to climb the steps especially during rainy season. As per the request from the librarian Noolagar Vijayan, Rotary Club of Kovaipudur donated Stainless steel handrails to be of assistance to the bibliophiles.
The unveiling of newly fixed handrail was done by the District community Chair Rtn PP Lakshmanan on October 28th 2020. Felicitation was done by Assistant Governor Rtn C T Thiagarajan, GGR Rtn Sashikumar, C K, District Library Officer M. Sakthivel, Reader’s Forum President Nambi and Noolagar Vijayan, Librarian.
