Working on stopping India’s water share from entering Pakistan – Nitin Gadkari

Minister for Road Transport & Highways and MSME Nitin Gadkari who was addressing the  Jan Samvad Rally of Gujarat BJP virtually on Sunday, said that 3 of the  6 rivers  of “Akhand Bharat” which belongs to India are flowing into Pakistan, and the Government is working to stop India’s share entering there.

Under division of water, 3 rivers were given to Pakistan while 3 were retained by India. Till now Indian waters have been reaching Pakistan’s land. Gadkari said since 1970s the ruling heads of  Kashmir, Uttarkhand, Rajasthan, Delhi and Himachal Pradesh had not come together in achieving a solution in this issue but now they have.

“Seven out of nine projects (related to the division of water of rivers) where consensus had eluded states earlier have been cleared after CMs of these states were brought together to resolve the matter”
