Rotary Club of Coimbatore Smartcity, Siruthuli and Coimbatore Spark Round Table 323 have jointly undertaken the afforestation project titled ‘Hope Vanam’
It is an initiative to create a green belt of 30,000 trees in a phased manner with the support of Indian Railways and Home of Hope. The Inauguration of Phase-1 of the project was held on Wednesday (20.5.2020) at Ondipudur Bus Depot area.
Rtn. Manish M.Vyas, President and Rtn.MD Aparna Sunku, Secretary of Rotary Club of Coimbatore Smartcity and representatives from other partnering organization did the inauguration. Rtn. Murugan, District Director, Rotary International District 3201 took part in the program.
10,000 trees will be planted in Phase-1. The Hope Vanam Project will follow Miyawaki Plantation Technique while planting.
