JEE Main & NEET 2020 exam dates announced

Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Union Cabinet Minister for Human Resource Development, Government of India announced on Tuesday the much awaited examination dates for  JEE Main and NEET exams 2020. He made the announcement by going live on his official Twitter handle.

JEE Main will be held from July 18 to July 23 while NEET will be conducted on July 26.  According to National Testing Agency, the exam conducting body; 9 lac students have registered to appear from JEE Main and 15.93 lakh have registered for NEET. NTA has provided the option for the JEE Main and NEET applicants to choose the exam center of their choice to help them limit their travel time and other risks.

Regarding College Commencement

During the interaction when a student asked the HRD Minister about the date of commencement of classes for colleges, the Minister said UGC calendar has suggested to conduct the college exams from July 1 and to start new session in August.  “College level exams to be held from July 1 and will try to declare result by July-end so that the session can begin from August. We have asked institutes to be aware about situation in their area. In case an area is still affected in July, they can promote students on basis of previous and internal exams”
