SKASC inks Mou with Media & Entertainment Skill Council; plans to introduce B.Sc (Animation) program

The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) under the Skill India Movement has recently introduced many Skill Based Courses in Universities and Colleges in the country. Under its direction, Media & Entertainment Skill Council is introducing degree, diploma and certificate programs in Universities and Colleges in 2020. Sri Krishna Arts and Science College has signed a MoU with Media & Entertainment Skill Council to start a B.Sc (Animation) program.

Subhash Ghai, Chairman, MESC exchanged the MoU with Dr. K. Sundararaman, CEO, Sri Krishna Institutions, in the presence of Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal “Nishank”, Minister, MHRD at New Delhi.  Subba Rao, Economic Advisor, MHRD, Manish Kumar, MD & CEO, NSDC, Mohit Soni, CEO, MESC and Amit Behl, Actor were present during the signing of MoU.

As per the MoU, Sri Krishna Arts and Science College will introduce B.Sc (Animation) program with the inputs from the Skill Council in 2020. They will also introduce certificate courses in Media, Acting, Music and other Creative Arts to the students of Coimbatore. The MESC under the supervision of National Skill Development Council (NSDC) will give all the technical inputs like Curriculum Design, training the faculty, Skill Assessment, Internship, apprenticeship in industry and Assessment of Job Role to the students. Sri Krishna Arts and Science College is the first college to sign the MoU in Tamil Nadu with MESC.
