Rotary Club of Coimbatore Heritage celebrated Bharathiya’s Birthday by organizing a Poetry Recitatiojn Competition at Brookfields Mall recently. Prior to this program at Brookefield, a week ago, 1340 people from different age groups recited Bharathiyar’s poems via WhatsApp as a recording. More than 1000 of them were young students who exhibited skill in recitation and love for Bharathiyar. Out of the best, 30 were finalized and were honored with prizes and certificates at the mall.
Kavidasan, a renowned orator and Director- HR, Roots was the chief guest. Rotary District Director Murugan and District Rotary representatives participated in this event.
