The Entrepreneurship Development Cell of PSG College of Arts & Science, Coimbatore with FICCI FLO (Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Ladies Organization), Coimbatore Chapter jointly organized the MoU signing ceremony between the two stakeholders on 24th September 2019.
The MoU will initiate Industry-Academia partnership, mentor-ship for Entrepreneurship promotion activities and mentoring EDC trainees and incubatees at PSG CAS through FICCI FLO network.
As a directive from MHRD’s National Innovation and Start-Up Policy 2019 for Higher Education Institutions, the event also hosts Launch of Student Campus Ventures through PSGCAS Business Incubation Centre at the campus.
The Institution Innovation Council of PSGCAS has partnered to organize an Inter-Collegiate and Inter-Departmental “Innovation Entrepreneurship Exhibition-Start-up Challenge” in five thematic areas, focussing on National Sustainable Development Goals.
The MoU was signed by Dr.Brindha, Principal, PSG CAS and Poonam Bafna, Chairperson, FICCI Flo Coimbatore.
The occasion also saw Inter Collegiate/Inter Departmental Innovation Entrepreneurship Exhibition- Start-Up Challeng taking place in the college.
The Chief Guest of the event was Anand Pillai, Managing Director, Leadership Matters Inc, Bengaluru, a renowned Speaker at TEDx, Fortune Innovation Forum in NY, USA etc and guest lecturer at Harvard Business School, MIT-SLOAN.
The event was aimed at promoting Entrepreneurial and Innovation ecosystem among students of Higher Education Institutions and to motivate students to participate in the National movement in developing economic growth of the country.
