Life Insurance Corporation of India entered 64th year of its incorporation on 1st September, 2019. In connection with this, LIC Coimbatore’s Trichy Road Branch organized a celebration on 3.9.2019. S.Subramaniam, Sr.R.H., IDBI Bank participated as the Chief Guest and felicitated.
P.J.Nicholson, Sr.Div.Manager, V.Thiagrajan, PHC Member and R.Paneer Selvam, Marketing Manager, LIC Trichy Road Branch took part in the celebration. Through a statement it was conveyed that during Financial Year 2018-19 LIC Coimbatore Division completed 162076 Policies for a First Premium Income of Rs.386.42 crores. For the Year 2019-20, as against a New Business Budget of 192000 Policies for First Year Premium Income of Rs.549 crores, achievement as on date stands at 49470 Policies with Rs.230.22 crores First Year Premium Income. During the year 2018-19, 200686 claims were made and Rs.1152.67 crores of claim amounts was settled.
LIC said that Insurance Week is celebrated from 1st of September for one week. J.Nicholson, Senior Divisional Manager inaugurated Insurance Week celebrations at Divisional Office premises, Trichy Road, Coimbatore by hoisting the Corporate Flag.
Various events designed to propagate the message of insurance are conducted during Insurance Week. The shield of security and trust that LIC has been providing to generations of our countrymen is reiterated by way of interface and contact with general public. Corporate Social Responsibility activities are also undertaken during this week. Insurance Week Celebration activity is simultaneously undertaken in all LIC Offices throughout Coimbatore Division.
