The only way to life is not to hurt others -Suki Sivam

Shri Krishna Sweets  organized a spiritual discourse  on 14th July at 6.30 pm Sarojini Nataraj Auditorium , Kikani Higher Secondary school, RS puram. Famous orator Suki sivam addressed the gathering on the theme “Ullathai Solgiren, En ullathai solgiren”

He discussed on a variety of topics. He spoke about food .According to him; religion should not be a factor to decide on the food preferences of an individual. This is against the principles of mankind. It is not right to impose the thought that meat should not be consumed, in the name of religion.

India needs to continue to be a secular state. It is an individual’s right to choose to eat what they desire. Doctors and the individual alone have the right to decide on what food can be consumed. We cannot reach out to god without following certain religious principles. God is universal and does not have boundaries.

In recent times, without understanding a person’s opinion completely, by just recording and listen to a portion of his speech, individuals begin to form an opinion. It is better to read and understand a person through his writings and then form an opinion. Today several fake news are being spread in the social media .This needs to be prevented. We need to always analyze both sides of a coin before we take decisions which needs to unbiased.

Relatives often try to uplift members of their own caste by teaching them and helping them get jobs .But at the same time, there are people who find mistakes and be the cause for downfall of their own fellow beings .There are good and bad things about caste and religion. We need to take the positive things. We should not get lured into religion just because of the sanyasis. We need to celebrate the philosophy and the principles of religion. This is the way to attain enlightenment.

The younger generations are forgetting their responsibilities and duties of looking after their parents and are in search of a spiritual path are in search of sanyasis and gurus. These people will  never be  able to reach out to god .They need to respect elders and should be with them during their old age .It is pointless to not be helpful to them when they are in need and try to be involved in a religious pursuit.

There is a myth that exists with the people that we need to go to temples and recite a few slokas and all their sins will get purified. The only way to life is not to hurt others.

We should never react to someone who scolds us in anger. The words uttered during anger are priceless. They might be in a state of confusion or in some difficulty .It must be openly discussed, said Sukhi Sivam
