Suspects behind MH17 Flight blast found

17 July, 2014 was a black day for 298 people who travelled in the Malaysian Airlines MH 17 as they died when a surface-to-air missile launched from Ukraine hit it.

The plan was from Amsterdam and was on its way to Kuala Lumpur. It was flying above the Ukrainian city of Dnepropetrovsk.  This area in Ukraine was a tensed one due to war between Rebels in Ukraine and Ukraine Govt Forces.  Russia was supporting the rebels in Ukraine who wanted to separate a portion of Ukraine.  At a time like that, when MH 17 flew above the airspace, it was taken down by rebels.

Of the 298 people who died from the explosion, 80 were children. A Joint Investigations Team comprising of Malaysia, Australia, and Netherland Intelligence accused Russia of the blast because the missile and launcher used in the blast were from Russia.

Russia denied their role in the blast but after almost 5 years, the men behind the deaths have been named: Russians Igor Girkin (the leader of the separatist group), , Sergey Dubinskiy, Oleg Pulatov and Ukrainian Leonid Kharchenko.

It was speculated that the separatists didn’t intend to bring down the plane and mistook it for a Ukrainian Govt Defence plane. But no matter what, they cannot be forgiven for the deed they have done. The suspects are in Russia and Ukraine. Their trial would start at 10 a.m. on March 9, 2020, whether or not the four suspects show up. They will be tried in absentia if they fail to appear.
