Terrorists bomb Police Vehicle, 15 commandos killed by blast in Gadchiroli, Maharashtra

A police vehicle that contained at least 15 commandos of the c-60 force was blasted by a trigger-IED bomb by the Naxalites while the vehicle was crossing it was attacked at Kurkheda near Jamurkheda, Maharashtra region.

The vehicle had 15 Jawans of Maharashtra Police’s Quick Reaction Team have been killed in the attack . The driver of the vehicle has also been killed.  For Maharashtra, today is its Foundation Day. More updates about the incident are yet to be received.

It must be noted that last year, 37 Maoists were killed by the security forces and the attack has happened on the same place.

Shaken by the news, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “Strongly condemn the despicable attack on our security personnel in Gadchiroli, Maharashtra. I salute all the brave personnel. Their sacrifices will never be forgotten. My thoughts & solidarity are with the bereaved families. The perpetrators of such violence will not be spared.”

He conveyed his thoughts via his official Twitter account.
