Is #Trashtag Challenge the best Social Media Challenge?

Earlier this month, a Facebook user posted 2 pictures. The first one was in a small woods that were full of plastic and other wastes. In the second picture, all the trashes are neatly packed in several carry bags along with that young man posing near to them. His FB post invited youngsters to find an area in their vicinity that needs maintenance and click a picture before and after their intervention.

The challenge has become an internet sensation and several nationals around the globe have embraced this online challenge for its productive nature. In the past, the youth have had an encounter with poor challenges like MoMo challenge, Kiki Challenge and Blue-whale challenge which are all of no use to the people or the society.

But this #Trashtag challenge is really the one the Millennial Generation needs. Of course, posting pictures before and after their cleaning/removal of wastes will boost others to take part and with proper guidance this challenge could bring a big change even from the smallest teams. Coimbatore, are you ready?

You can post the areas that you are about to maintain and finally click your photo once you have done it using the #Trashtag in FB, Twitter and Instagram.
