National Science Day was celebrated at Dr. N.G.P. Arts and Science College, Coimbatore organized by Science forum, Research Forum and Innovation Club in Association with Dr. Kalam Educational Trust for Tribal. The theme of this year was “Science for the People and People for Science”.
- Balasubramanian, Dean (R & D), Dr.NGP Arts & Science College in his address briefed the gathering about how the contribution of Science and Technology has revolutionized our day-to-day activities and made our life much easier.
On this occasion, a motivational and inspirational talk was delivered by the Chief Guest S. Krishna Kumar, DRDO, Chennai and Vice President of Dr. Kalam Educational Trust for Tribal, Chennai.
The session was then opened for scientific activities and for various competitions such as Quiz, Essay Writing ,Drawing and Speech (Tamil and English) were presented by the students from various departments in theme of “Science for the People and People for Science”. S. Krishna Kumar distributed the prizes and certificates to all the winners of the various competitions.
