Sri Sakthi Institute of Engineering and Technology conducted “Kalam 2019”, a program for college students to showcase their talent in technical skills, Techno and cultural programs was conducted from 28th February to March 1st 2019.
Knowledge based competitions, conference, intellectual sessions, and workshops were conducted. All the nine branches of Engineering like information technology, civil, biomedical, mechanical, agriculture, biotech, electronics and communications, electrical and electronics competed.
Talents of the individual students are important for their holistic development. Various competitions like western and eastern dance, rural dance singing, musical instruments, mimicry, mono acting, music band, street theatre, photography and bike stunt show to showcase their inertia were held.
A competition on short film was conducted on February 28thMu. Maran, Director of the Tamil action thriller film Iravukku Aayiram Kangal joined the occasion. He appreciated the students’ talents and encouraged them with awards.
Dance director Rehman participated as judge for dance competitions and graced the occasion. On March 2nd, competitions on culture and entertainment were conducted with Music Director Santosh Narayan as the Chief Guest. He sung along with the students and made them feel proud.
Around five lakh worth gifts were distributed to the students who participated and won in “Kalam 2019”.
