NCC Group Coimbatore has been in the forefront of all NCC activities and has led the NCC Directorate Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Andaman Nicobar Islands in all aspects of Training, administration and Competitions. In the recently held Chief Ministers rally at Chennai NCC Group Coimbatore was adjudged the Best Group and also bagged the Chief Ministers Banner for a 4th time in a row.
The cadets of Kovai Group have won all competitions of the Directorate. In addition all the TN, P&AN Directorate teams fielded for the National level NCC competitions have maximum number of cadets from Kovai Group including the RDC contingent which bagged eleven trophies in RDC 2019. To acknowledge the hard work and achievements of the cadets specially the National level achievers a felicitation cum valedictory programme was organized by the NCC authorities at PSG Institute of Medical Sciences & Research.
Kezevino Aram, Director Shanti Asharam, Coimbatore and Commodore (Retd) Vijesh K Garg, VSM, former Deputy Director General, of NCC Directorate Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Andaman Nicobar Islands presided over the felicitations. For the first time, numerous Corporates, leading Institutions and NGOs came forward to acknowledge the efforts of the NCC cadets and sponsored mementoes, gifts and awards to felicitate the cadets.
