No person will go to prison on his own will but its destiny which leads them to a place, where no human being would ever want to step in. There are many steps to ensure that the energy of these prisoners is utilized in a positive manner. Chandrans Yuva Foundation, as part of a ISR initiative for prisoners launched a Skill Development Program- “Rise Transforming lives” & also organized a Pongal Vizha at Coimbatore Central Prison.
Dignitaries present on the occasion were R.Arivudainambi, DIG Prisons, Coimbatore Range, R.Krishna Raj, Superintendent of Prisons,Spcl.Prison for women, Leema Rose Martin,Director,Martin Group of Companies and S.Tharani,Deputy jailor, Spcl.prisons for women, Coimbatore Central prison.
The idea behind this campaign was to identify the talent of each prisoner and provide them with a platform through financial aid. The initiative was executed by C.Sivanesan, Founder and Shasikala Sathiyamurthy, Director of ChandransYuva Foundation, Coimbatore.
