KG hospital was all in smiles since three of its doctors were recently awarded for their path breaking discovery in their respective departments. First it was Dr.Ilangovan Veerappan, Chief Nephrologist KG Hospital, who was honored with the prestigious Bansal Oration Award -2018 for his discovery in finding a hitherto unknown relation between the body temperature and dialysis outcome.
Dr.Shidram Kamate of Nephrology Department, KG Hospital, earning the “Rekha Memorial TANKER Award–2018” instituted by the Indian Society of Nephrology (ISN). This national award was given to him at the 49th Annual Conference of the ISN—ISNCON 2018—held in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
The honor was bestowed in appreciation of his paper presentation on the topic “Pattern of Urinary Sodium Excretion in Healthy Volunteers and Chronic Kidney Disease Patients.”
J.Vijayalakshmi, Counselor-cum-Transplant Coordinator of KG Hospital, Coimbatore received the State Award. “The Award of Appreciation” on her was bestowed by Dr.K.Gandhimathi, Member Secretary of Transplant Authority of Tamil Nadu (TRANSTAN).
The award was given in recognition of “the excellent performance of Vijayalakshmi as Transplant Coordinator in the Deceased Donor Programme in Tamil Nadu during 2017-18.”
