The upcoming New Year will be a year with good difference. It is expected that the changes in Tamil Nadu will be significant due to the fact that T.N. Govt has placed a ban on plastic usage from Jan 1, 2019. In connection with this, the Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Coimbatore is organizing an Awareness Meeting on ‘Ban on Use of Plastics’ in order to create awareness among its members. The program is on 21.12.2018 at Chamber Towers, Avinashi Road. It starts at 10 a.m.
Dr. B Vijayalalithambigai, MBBS, Designated Officer, Tamil Nadu Food Safety & Drug Administration Department, Coimbatore, will address the members and explain about the products which are banned and which are alternatively suggested for use. The Department will also display the materials in this regard and explain the various alternatives to plastics.
