Ekal Study Circle, Coimbatore in association with Kongunadu Arts and Science College conducted a panel discussion on the harmful effects of plastic. The event was titled “Say No To Plastic”. The moderator for the event was Omkar Sankar of Sankar Group while the panel discussion comprised of eminent speakers in the form of S.Raja, Asst.Professor, Zoology Dept. & Co-ordinator, Eco Club, KASC, R.Dhanapal, Manager, Suguna Industrial Training Institute, Sangeetha Subash, Apex member, Siruthuli and P.Roopa Prasanth, Member, RAAC, Coimbatore.
Each member gave their viewpoints on how curbing the use of plastic is the need of the hour. The gathering got to know some important facts like the amount of plastic waste generated each day as well its effects on the overall ecosystem. Infact, there was a very detailed PowerPoint presentation by S.Raja and Sangeetha Subash. P.Roopa Prasanth showed and explained the alternatives for plastic which could save our future generations. Overall, it was an engaging and a knowledgeable session. The event saw the presence of CA Vasuki, Secretary, KASC along with students and other faculty members.
