The Bharatanatyam Arangetram of Mahathi Kamesh, a disciple of Nrithya Rathna Amutha Dhandapani, took place on November 25th at Nani Kalaiarangam, Coimbatore. Chief Guests included Isai Perarignar Kalaimamani Krishnakumari Narendran and Lakshminarayanaswamy, Chairman of Suguna Group of Institutions. Mahathi was honored with the title “Nadanamani.”
The audience was captivated by Mahathi’s impeccable footwork and expressive portrayal of Bhavam in each song. The Varnam on Lord Meenakshi, composed by Padmashri Lalgudi G Jayaraman, showcased Mahathi’s skill in depicting Navarasas. The Padam, Thevaram, Thillana, and Anjaneyar Kililanni were all performed beautifully, evoking goosebumps and a strong connection with the audience.
