Satchidananda Jothi Nikethan International School’s Robotics Team from Kallar, Coimbatore, made India proud at the MakeX International Competition in Abu Dhabi on November 18 and 19, 2023. Competing against seven countries, the ‘Explorer Teams’ clinched the ‘MakeX Robotics Championship title, showcasing their excellence in robotics. The school’s Robotics Club, with ninety students divided into beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels, trains weekly using Lego and MakeX Kits. Two Explorer teams and two Starter teams, accompanied by mentors, represented the school.
In the competition featuring 72 teams from seven countries, Satchidananda’s Explorer teams secured first place in the 8-15 age group category, earning the MakeX International Championship 2023. Additionally, they achieved fifth and sixth places in the Starter Category. This victory follows their success in international competitions in Bangkok in 2019 and 2022. The students received certificates, medals, and trophies, with gratitude expressed to the school’s management and Robotics Club coordinators for their unwavering support.
