After the unveiling of Sardar Vallabhai Patel’s massive statue, which earned the famed title ‘World’s Tallest Statue’, India will soon complete building the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji off Mumbai coast in an island in the Arabian Sea. The statue will be 413 feet tall on a 276 feet pedestal making it touch almost 700 feet in height. The estimated cost for this is INR. 3000+ crore and it is expected to be completed in early 2021.
While this is the case till yesterday, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has decidedhis ideas to build a 495 feet statue for Lord Ram. Ayodhya Mayor Rishaksh Upadhya said, “This statue is to be installed at Ayodhya at a height of 151 meters above the river Sarayu. The notice will be posted on Diwali.”
Meanwhile the grandnephew of the legendary Subash Chandra Bose has expressed interest that a statue for his grand uncle should be erected near India Gate, which he said the public including Army veterans yearn for so many years.
