KMCH CON holds Mental Health Seminar

KMCH College of Nursing’s Department of Mental Health Nursing hosted a seminar on “Positive Mental Health & Well-Being” for third-year B.Sc(N) students (Batch 95) and second-year B.Sc(N) students (Batch 96) on September 13, 2023, in the Multipurpose Hall. The program commenced with a warm welcome from Prof. Buveneswari.

Prof. Madhavi, Principal of KMCH College of Nursing, emphasized the importance of Positive Mental Health & Suicide Prevention in her presidential address. The first session, led by Dr. Nivedhitha Selvakumar, a Consultant in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at KMCH Hospital, centred on the 2023 Suicide Prevention Day Theme, “Creating Hope Through Action,” addressing prevalence, causes, and action plans for suicidal behaviour.

Mangaleswari Manjari, Assistant Professor at KMCH College of Physiotherapy, conducted the second session on “Positive Mental Health & Well-Being.” Prof. Jamunaranai gave the vote of thanks.
