The number of new Covid-19 infections in India has reached 3,720, and there are already 40,177 active cases of the disease, according to data provided on Wednesday by the Union Health Ministry.
The data updated at 8 am stated that 20 more fatalities, including five that Kerala reconciled, had been added to the viral disease’s death toll of 5,31,584 overall. According to the data, there are currently 4.49 crore (4,49,56,716) Covid cases in the nation. According to the government, the national Covid-19 recovery rate has been recorded at 98.73%, and active cases currently make up 0.09 per cent of the total infections.
4,43,84,955 people had recovered from the disease, and the case fatality rate was 1.18 per cent in the same period.
According to the ministry’s website, the country has received 220.66 crore doses of vaccines as part of the ongoing Covid-19 vaccination campaign.
