PSG College of Pharmacy, Coimbatore in alliance with the Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI) Tamil Nadu state Branch, for the first time organized one day National seminar on “Effective Teaching, Learning Strategies and Research in Pharmacy” and an award ceremony to honour veteran pharmacy teachers held on 1st April 2023. The award honours teachers in 6 categories who have provided guidance, and inspiration and mentored students to take up careers in the field of Pharmacy. This helps to bring out talented teachers at different age groups at the state level and motivates them to compete at the national level. This will also motivate the teachers to adopt the New Education Policy (NEP 2022) initiatives related to the teaching-learning process.
The seminar started with a welcome address delivered by Sankar, President APTI Tamil Nadu Branch, Vice Principal, PSG College of Pharmacy followed by the presidential address by Ramanathan, Principal, PSG College of Pharmacy. The awarding ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest, Manian, PhD, Former Vice Chancellor, Annamalai University, Chidambaram and Guest of Honour Venkata Ramana, PhD, Central Vice President, APTI South region, Managing Director, Vagdevi College of Pharmacy. Sambathkumar, Secretary, APTI-TN Branch, Principal, Erode College of Pharmacy delivered the vote of thanks.
