To celebrate ‘WORLD RADIO DAY’, the Department of Visual Communication, VLB Janakiammal College of Arts and Sciences, Coimbatore has organized a guest lecture and alumni talk on “Current Trends in FM Broadcasting” by Resource person Mirchi Kishore, Radio Jockey at 98.3 Radio.
The guest tinted out the importance of creating interesting contents towards the societal issues and the day-to-day life events. Also, he spoke about the quality of giving content for various mediums with the value and its current trending pitch. Moreover, he explained about process of making digital contents for online mediums and Radio Podcasting. As an alumnus, he shared his connecting experiences of studying and working in the field of media, which brings a lot more exposure of real time working environment. This session fed the students with extensive knowledge about radio channels, TV channels, YouTube platforms and how they work for producing content in different forms. He briefed about the great deal of internships and how to get started on the journey towards the Media. Finally, the speech of guest ended up with the Q&A session of students.
