Great news for trainee doctors in TN as CM orders revisal of stipend

Chief Minister Edapadi Palanisami ordered today to revise and increase the stipend of the Trainee Medical Professionals in the Government Medical Colleges of Tamil Nadu. In the official press release from the Tamil Nadu Govt., the information was published.
As per the Govt. the present stipend for trainee doctors would be revised from Rs. 13,000 to Rs.20,000, while the stipend for PG doctors would be hiked from  Rs. 25,000 to  Rs.35,000 for first year, from  Rs. 26,000 to Rs.37,500 for second year and from Rs.27,000 to Rs.40,000 for third year.

The stipend for those pursuing their PG Diploma would see an increase from Rs. 25,000 to Rs.35,000 for first year and the second year their existing stipend would be hiked from  Rs. 26,000 to Rs.37,500  . The stipend for those doing specialty studies in medicine has also been increased, with the highest being Rs. 45,000. This move from the Govt. of Tamil Nadu would come into effect very soon.
