As a part of the birth centenary celebrations of Kumaraguru Institutions’ Founder N.Mahalingam, 1200+ accomplished students received the Mahatma Gandhi Merit scholarship, totalling to a tune of Rs. 1.2 Crore.
A press release mentioned that a series of events and projects from 17 to 27 March 2022 was held during these celebrations to inspire students, staff, visitors and the public with the ideals of N.Mahalingam, popularly called Arutchelvar.
R. Velraj, Vice Chancellor, Anna University was the chief guest at the event, and he gave away the scholarships in the presence of B. K. Krishnaraj Vanavarayar, Chairman, Kumaraguru Institutions. The Vice Chancellor shared some of his learnings and the principles he follows with the audience prior to the distribution of the scholarships.
